1963 Lambretta TV Series 3 History

Here she is, my Lambretta 175 TV Series 3. It's been build in 1963 and sold in The Netherlands.
Chassis number: 175TV3*516363*IGM 25450M
Engine number: 175TV/2 517303

In those days The Netherlands had a strict policy on sharp objects on motor vehicles, therefore the sidepanels had reversed fasteners mounted.
My dad bought the scooter from a colleague in 1970 who became tired of it while it kept on stalling while driving. It turned out to be a mechanical issue with the way the aluminium cooling fan was fastened on the flywheel. After solving the problem, my mom enjoyed driving it for over 10 years. And she was a dedicated Vespa motorist!
After that the scooter was garaged for about 10 more year's, by this time I got it out of the garage, resprayed it (yes, it's ugly now, but there is a total bodywork planned to bring it back to it's original state) and drove it for 10 year's on a daily basis. After that, I garaged the Lambretta, kickstarting it every 2 year's. Last year it wouldn't start, no spark. The ignition had perished over the years. The magnetism of the flywheel was completely gone!
So a rebuild of the engine took place (the engine had done more than 70.000 km's!). New piston, new crankshaft, new clutch, new 12 V electronic ignition, new exhaust system. Today, I drove it for the first time to my work. It hasn't run so well for many years!
